  • Shytoshi Kusama warns SHIB community: verify endorsements only through his retweets to avoid misinformation.
  • ShibArmy Scam Alerts reports increase in fake tokens and projects claiming false affiliation with Shiba Inu.

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead figure behind Shiba Inu, has recently communicated an important caution to the SHIB community. Through a tweet, Kusama emphasized the need for vigilance among holders and followers, stating, “If I didn’t RT, I didn’t co-sign. Be careful frens.”

This message aims to alert community members about the potential misrepresentation of his endorsement for information or projects not explicitly approved by him.

Kusama’s tweet highlights an ongoing issue within the cryptocurrency world: the rapid spread of misinformation. His directive underlines the importance of distinguishing between verified and unverified information, urging community members to rely only on officially retweeted or shared endorsements by him.

The need for such caution has become more pronounced following reports from the ShibArmy Scam Alerts, a focused Twitter account for the Shiba Inu community, earlier in August. The account noted an increase in tokens and projects falsely claiming affiliation with the Shib market.

In response, the Shiba Inu team advises holders to confirm the legitimacy of any project or partnership through the official Shiba Inu website. Projects not listed on the official site should not be considered part of the official Shib ecosystem.

Furthermore, the Shiba Inu community has been the target of numerous scam attempts, exploiting the cryptocurrency’s rising popularity. Scammers and impersonators often create fake accounts on platforms like Discord to disseminate false information, direct users to malicious sites, or extract personal information for fraudulent purposes.

The ShibArmy Scam Alerts has cautioned the community against these deceptive tactics, emphasizing that official moderators or admins on platforms like Discord or Telegram will never initiate contact regarding support.

The current price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) is approximately $0.000014 USD, reflecting a decrease of 1.35% over the past 24 hours. Today’s trading range has been consistent around $0.000014 USD.

Over the past 52 weeks, SHIB has traded between $0.000007 and $0.000045 USD. The market capitalization of Shiba Inu is $8.197 billion, with a trading volume of around $162.40 million in the last 24 hours.
