  • VeChain secures $10M Power Slap sponsorship, boosting brand visibility in combat sports.
  • Power Slap events are to stream for free on YouTube, powered by VeChain’s blockchain partnership.

Dana White’s Power Slap has secured a major sponsorship with blockchain platform VeChain, signaling a significant move for the combat sports industry and cryptocurrency adoption. The deal, reportedly valued at over $10 million, includes VeChain’s branding on athlete kits and event sponsorships.

While further contract details remain undisclosed, the collaboration is expected to enhance VeChain’s visibility through Power Slap’s growing YouTube presence. VeChain also hinted at additional projects with White, promising further developments in the coming weeks.

VeChain Expands Its Sports Sponsorship Portfolio

This new deal solidifies VeChain’s footprint in the sports industry after its existing partnership with the UFC. By sponsoring Power Slap, VeChain gets big exposure in a rapidly growing combat sports league that already has more YouTube subscribers than the NHL, NASCAR, and PGA Tour. VeChain hinted at more collaborations with White’s ventures, saying on social media, “much more cooking in the background.”

Power Slap has been an unconventional but fast-growing venture for White, who said last year it had already reached a $750 million valuation. Initially aired on TBS, Power Slap later moved to digital platforms, where it continues to build a strong audience. White has emphasized the advantages of this shift, stating that traditional television networks impose restrictions that he does not favor.

Power Slap and VeChain Bring Free Streaming to Fans

One of the coolest parts of this deal is that Power Slap events will be live and free on YouTube, powered by VeChain. White said on X that it’s “one of the sickest deals ever done in the history of sports.”. He’s always said that Power Slap is an internet product, not a traditional media product.

Fan reaction has been mixed. Some are stoked, and some are not. Some are celebrating White and VeChain for making it free to watch. Others are hating the sponsorship; some are questioning the ethics of a sport that involves hitting the head repeatedly. Some are wondering if the UFC is just passing the cost of streaming onto VeChain instead of investing further in Power Slap itself.

Crypto Market Position and Future Prospects

The announcement comes at a time when VeChain’s VET token is experiencing a downturn, dropping 9% to $0.02984. While the sponsorship deal could enhance VeChain’s brand visibility, it remains unclear whether it will directly impact the token’s value.

This sponsorship deal comes at a time when the cryptocurrency market faces heightened volatility, partially driven by recent economic policies. Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff announcements have contributed to a sharp $11 billion sell-off, affecting digital assets across the board.

As ETHNews reported, VeChain is aiming to disrupt industries by focusing on sustainability and real-world use cases. Its ecosystem, including VeBetterDAO and the VeWorld wallet, rewards sustainable actions and user engagement. Founded in 2015 by Sunny Lu, VeChain is one of the oldest blockchain projects, differentiating itself from speculative tokens by focusing on real-world business applications.

A big part of VET’s strategy is supply chain management, where its blockchain solutions allow businesses to track and verify data with precision. By providing transparent sustainability claims backed by blockchain, VeChain is addressing the growing need for corporate accountability. With the supply chain industry valued at over $10 trillion, even a small percentage of that market would be massive.

Instead of trying to replace the financial system like many other crypto projects, VET focuses on optimizing business operations through blockchain. This practical approach has put it at the intersection of emerging tech and real-world business needs.
